What is Canoxidin?

Canoxidin is a food supplement specially formulated to promote a healthy urine and to reduce calcifications related to the use of urological medical devices such as bladder catheters, ureteral stents, or nephrostomy tubes, avoiding incrustations or blockages. Canoxidin is composed of a combination of L-methionine, Phytin and Theobromine.

Description

Directions for use

Take 3 tablets per day, one before each meal with a glass of water, until the urological device is removed. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.

L-Methionine
A natural amino acid which is recommended in the European Urology Clinical Guidelines to acidify the urine. Urine acidification prevents the growth of bacteria that adhere to the surface of bladder catheters, ureteral stents, or nephrostomy tubes. Acidification also helps to prevent the precipitation of
phosphate crystals that may occur at a urinary pH above 6.

Phytin
A growth inhibitor of negatively charged crystals such as calcium crystals (calcium oxalate or calcium phosphate) or magnesium crystals (struvite), which helps prevent the calcification, incrustation, or blockage of urological devices at urinary pH above 6.

Theobromine
A growth inhibitor of uric acid crystals, which helps prevent the calcification, incrustation or blockage of urological devices at urinary pH below 5.5.

Metiofitina® (L-methionine, rice bran extract (Oryza sativa L.) with 85% of phytin (calcium magnesium phytate); bulking agent: calcium hydrogen phosphate; cocoa fruit dry extract (Theobroma cacao L.) with 40% of theobromine; stabilizer: polyvinylpyrrolidone; bulking agent: microcrystalline cellulose; Stabilizer: polyvinylpolypyrrolidone; Glazing agent: hydroxypropylmethylcellulose; flavour vanilla; Anti-caking agent: silicon dioxide; Stabilizer: magnesium salts of fatty acids; rice starch; Stabilizers: fatty acids, hydroxypropylcellulose; apple and spirulina concentrate; black currant, radish and apple concentrate.
